This panel will discuss the process of hiring union talent, the contractual obligations of using professional performers, and the ease by which a project can become signatory. The panel will also address the positive impact these factors can have on distribution opportunities, and review the unique, budget-boosting ‘diversity in casting’ incentives available to producers under SAG-AFTRA’s low budget and independent agreements.
