Be a leader not a boss...Listen and lead.

True that. Its easy to see which one is better. The & sign could easily be replaced with a less than sign. Boss < Leader.

It's easy to get exasperated and bark orders. As someone that is in a lead position at work, I always have to remember that good leaders create other leaders, not followers.

I find this great. AND what is funny is that none of my supervisors except for my dad act like leaders. I know that when I have people working with me in the area that I am in control of, I tell my supervisors not to give me people that are not going to work. If they are going to work then I would act like a leader, if they want to be lazy and not do anything, then I would act more like a boss.

My boss is definitely a Leader. He does coach his employees especially me. Sometimes he needs to reel me in on a confrontation. :) The only time he demands is when something goes wrong but will listen and help find an answer and implement a policy so it does not happen again. Many people have a lot of respect for him.

a boss should always act as leaders towards their employees unless he/she are complete douches then you got yourself a problem.

I've had good bosses and bad bosses and you definitely see a lot of these quality's in their respective places.

I just recently was promoted at work and its interesting to see that i do some of each of these things. Some of my co-workers on the other hand are just boses

I just try to lead by example and show my coworkers some leadership. I'm not a boss or anything but if I were this would be my model of leading!
