Why work doesn't happen at work.

Thank you for adding this to your blog. This is one of my favorite TED talks. I hope that others will take the fifteen minutes to watch it. I took a chance and forwarded it to our HR director who presented it at a staff meeting, which I find humerous in itself. As a result, each department no longer has weekly department meetings. They are held at an as needed basis, and often meetings may not involve an entire department. As a result of the meetings that do occur, minutes and outcomes are communicated via email to those who did not attend so that they are in the loop, but were not pulled away from their work. I think one of the best statements is that stages of work are like stages of sleep and that when you are interrupted, you have to start from stage one all over again.
