American Bandstand - "Dick Clark" (TV Actor) Dies Age 82 (1929-2012)

I am so sad that the oldest teenager has passed away. I loved staying up to watch the ball drop on New Year's Eve. I remember watching Madonna perform "Holiday" on American Bandstand and in her response to him about what her dreams, she said it was to rule the world. Amazing the things we remember... He was great with Ed McMahon on TV's Bloopers and Practical Jokes and on Pyramid. Dick Clark was a great host with a great voice. If he were a song, I would give him a 100 for a great beat that was easy to dance to. Rest in Peace Dick Clark.

The impact this guy had not just on music, but rock and pop music is immeasurable. I remember sitting in my Memaw's attic in Louisiana as a kid listening to him. How many memories did he create for all of us? He will be missed yet he had an amazing life. This clip was almost comparing him to classic cars. Nice.

Losing Dick Clark is losing my childhood. I watched American Bandstand while I was growing up in the 60s, 70s and beyond. I remember Michael Jackson and Donny Osmond on the show. I do not feel old but a moment of being that young again. He gave so much to us and you knew the music hits! I was cool to watch this show and with my girlfriends. Then to go out and buy the records. I remember my record player and my first stero with my 45s and albums. Thanks for the memories Dick. RIP.
