1909 Oak Park Illinois commuter train stop (I grew up in Oak Park, but not that far back)

Jeff (Phoenix HUM/114) When looking at this photo it makes me realize the world was advancing in transportation, but still lacked safety concerns. In the world today you would be hard pressed to find a train station where the passengers had to walk across the tracks to board the train. It also makes me think how simple things were back then, nobody is rushing around to catch their train or stressed out.

It is really interesting looking at old pictures and seeing how people used to live and look compared to today.
