What will happen with Gay Marriage?

Quite a funny way to look at the topic.

This is just the point I don't think people realize, or what will happen if they actually recognize it as a "marriage" and call it marriage? Nothing, other than LGBT couples will get married.

What are we still so afraid of? Look at places that have allowed gay marriage, fire and brimstone aren't raining down on them.

I agree with Ryan, what is the big deal if gay marriage is legal? We accept technology, machines running the world but we do not allow human beings that love each other to be together legally? I am not gay but I have friends who are and met their partners. They have been together longer than man and woman married. Some people just do not want to accept change, we do live in a diverified world.

Sometimes humor is the best way to get through to people. Although close-minded bigots don't usually have much of a sense of humor. Marriage equality for all!

I disagree with gay marriage. Being the christian that I am, GOD didn't make us for us to be gays and lesbians.

I also agree with Ryan. Most states already allow LGBT couples to enter into a "civil union". The only thing that would change is that they would actually be considered "married". It really doesn't affect other people. If they love each other and want to commit to each other for the rest of their lives, who are we to stop them?

I've seen this picture circling around facebook. I thought it was pretty funny and it also describes how I feel about all of these situations.

i find it funny how some politicians use slippery slope fallacies in order to scare people.

It's quite sad that people don't realize something as simple as this. I really have a hard time understanding why gay marriage is opposed so much, and I have had several friends ("had" being the key-word here, lol) who oppose it. The way I see it, if you're not gay, and don't like gay marriage, then DON'T GET MARRIED TO SOMEONE OF THE SAME GENDER AS YOU. It's not like legalizing it will force men to marry other men and women to marry other women. If you don't like it, don't do it. Doesn't mean you have a say in other peoples' marriage and happiness.

So true! The only bad thing that could possibly come from gay marriage is prejudice from the people who don't agree with, accept, or tolerate it. I personally think gay people should be allowed to be married. Its ridiculous that its such a debate. I mean, you can't help who you love. How cruel would it seem to not be allowed to marry the person you loved? Most people I ask say they don't agree with it because its "not natural" or "gross," but it is natural and same-sex pairings have been observed in various animal species and gross is a highly subjective term. Our history's full of people, such as African-Americans and women, fighting for their rights. Homosexuals are next in line.

Yes, I don't really see a problem why gay people can't get married. Why is it such a big deal anyways?

Kind of going off topic here but We live in a world where oppisite sex couples take marriage as almost a joke. They get married and most of the time end up in a divorce. It saddens me because their are so many same sex couples that just want to share their lives together and become one but they have to go through extreme lengths to make it legal. This should be a generation of people becoming accepting of who individuals are regardles if their into the same sex or not. Who people choose to marry does not effect you..
