Image manipulation....and internet spread of false images and ideas.

Sadly this is how gossip is spread these days. People photoshop images so they can dupe people into believing false accusations. Most people believe everything they see without verifying the source. These are the kind of images FOX NEWS would show on their show.

I think this is a perfect example of why we need to check our sources when we are researching or reading/listening to other people's opinions and viewpoints. As the textbook points out, technology has made it very easy for unreliable and reliable sources alike to manipulate the way we think about or approach a situation. However, this growing technology also makes it easier for us to research and find the truth.

Photo manipulation has gone rampant this past decade (I'm sure there has been photo manipulation before this past decade but i'm not that old to remember) Photoshop is an example of easy it is for these tools to get in the hand of an every day Joe Schmo. Make your own decisions in life and you can get passed this. Remember, you only see what they want you to see.

This is a great example of how stupid people can be to believe something that they really have no idea about. It's an eye opener for the whole election going on right now. People hear one thing and have no idea where it even came from and base their opinions completely around that one piece of evidence ( that isn't even true). It just goes to show how an ignorant opinion can be worse than not having one.

There was a famous picture where Obama and his wife were not holding their hands to their hearts during the National Anthem. He was Senator Obama then and when video of the still was found it turned out that the Anthem had not started yet...he put his hand up when it did.

But the misleading photo went viral and was believed by millions....

It's hard now a days to dicipher from what is reality and what is just a fabrication. This is just another blog to get through to peoples heads that you absolutly have to delve into things. Never believe what you see and always research it. It's the only way you can really understand things.
