Awww. Thats such a cute, sweet poster. I really believe you should hold on to childish things whether you have kids or not, because some things are just pleasant or you simply enjoy them, so you should feel free to continue them as an adult. Some things you grow out of, but you shouldn't worry about the things that you keep from childhood, because they were either special or important enough to have made it into adulthood. Not to mention, it would definitely come in handy if you ever did have kids. I'm always catching my parents doing silly things with my baby brother.

I like it. And even though we save our childish things for our children, we shoudl never forget to look back and sometimes use them ourselves. A good stress releiver is to sometimes act like a child and go back to those "fun times"

several reasons this caught my attention...
1. my boyfriend continues to this day to buy himself/'our nonexistent children' toys! (lol)
2. i firmly believe that although maturing is something we all must do, keeping your inner child close to the surface is vital for truly enjoying life
3. because i cant WAIT to pass down things to my children!!

While the toys are a great idea, also included should be our childhood tendencies (which I think the poster was clearly referring too). I think that as we grow older, we lose the ability to pretend and daydream as we did when we were children. I have found that when I got down to my childrens level and played G.I.Joe and realized what a great imagination I once had and lost as I grew up and "matured". There is nothing like retaining our child-like qualities and passing them on as well.Com 101-4049

Powerful. I think sometimes that children not wanting to hangout or spend time with family is because parents get boring, which I'm sure they weren't when they were a child.

Is that and adult Calvin in the distance waving goodbye to Hobbs?

Calvin would be proud.

I have read most if not all the Calvin and Hobbs books as a child. Now that I am older this image speaks to me on another level. This brings me into a state of nostalgia and sadness knowing that I am no longer a kid. I hope future generations will read Calvin and Hobbs and enjoy them as much as I did.

I think we all have childlike qualities in us no matter how old we get. I think it keeps us young at heart.

I think it should have said, Don't THROW away your childish things, Save them for your child. Because you have to put away those things in order to save them for when you do have children..
