Are your an outstanding woman student?

The Women’s History Month committee is planning events for March and is soliciting outstanding student work to be exhibited in the CSN Student Showcase in March.

Do you know of a student who has completed outstanding projects or is artistically talented? Students can display their work from any area of learning or personal interest that reflects women or women’s issues as the subject. Last year we had photo essays, photographs, academic papers, poetry, art exhibits including ceramics, acrylic and acrylic/charcoal paintings, oil paintings, watercolor paintings, hand-crafted jewelry, political cartoons, projects, and posters.  It was well attended and the students appreciated the opportunity.

The showcase will take place March 8th and 15th on the Cheyenne Campus in the Technological Know How Lab, Room 2662. The hours are 12:30-5:00. Students can contact Susan Gregg at 651-4622 or email susan.gregg@csn.edu to learn how to sign up. Please encourage your students to participate and to take the time to view the showcase. There will be Pizza and Raffle Prizes!

We also encourage you to help increase attendance at all diversity events by including a link to the event calendar in your syllabus and promoting events every month as they happen. Perhaps you will even grant extra credit for attending and writing a review. Or you could schedule a class period to attend en masse and make it part of your instruction.

Regards,

Women’s

I find it funny how there is always special events for women. Are men just not artistically talented enough for a "men's art show"? :)
