ASC provides students with the opportunity to be a part of a student group in which they can learn about the communication field, acquire leadership skills and get involved in their community and college, while making new friends. There are also many opportunities to network within the communication field to give students unique ways to get practical experience while getting their degree and land a job after graduation.  ASC holds membership meetings where students get the chance to talk about their ideas, plan upcoming events and volunteer for community service and fundraising activities.  Yearly events include the annual “Road Trip to Hollywood," canned food drive and the Annual Degrees of Communication Seminar and various fundraising efforts. ASC can also help you find scholarships and internships in your chosen communication field.

If you want to become a member of ASC or need additional information, contact us at PR.ASC@csn.edu or Michele.Fogg@csn.edu.

Register to Vote on-line (or change registration)

Yesterday Nevada Secretary of State Ross Miller made an important announcement for voters in Clark County:

You can now register to vote completely online!

No waiting in a long line at the DMV. No going to a website, printing out a registration form, and remembering to mail it in.

If you have a Nevada driver’s license or ID card you can now register to vote using a completely online process. The whole process takes less than 5 minutes.

Voting is the cornerstone of our democracy. It is a major part of what makes America the envy of the world. This development in technology is just another reason why every citizen should do their civic duty and vote whenever possible.

If you are not registered to vote yet and you live in Clark County please click here to register to vote:
