(Beginning Fall 2010)

The University of Nevada, Reno, invites applications for the position of lecturer in communication studies, Department of Speech Communication and Theatre. This position is renewable on an annual basis for a period of up to three years, contingent on funding. Preference will be given to applicants who hold the Ph.D. degree in Speech Communication or Communication Studies at the time of application (ABDs will be considered but successful candidate must have met all requirements for the degree by July 2, 2010). Candidates should have an interest in teaching in one or more of the following three areas: interpersonal, organizational, or public communication. Research for publication is preferred but not required. An interest in creating learning environments for diverse populations is desirable. 5 reasons HDTV will not take off

The Wrap, a Hollywood based on-line daily news publication, has five reason why 3D TV will not take off.

A sixth is that most people had to be dragged into HD by the FCC, and are not in the mood, economy or habit of buying new televisions every few years. A TV is not a car.
