Why aren't you mad as hell?

The average national price for a gallon of gas is now $1 more than a year ago, with $3 a gallon projected by the spring. Unemployment and other factors will cap the price of gas at $3.  Speculative money may be the cause for you paying more at the gas pump, just when those of us who have no money to speculate or for anything else need low price gas the most. The real question is why are people just taking it quietly and not raising hell?
17% underemployed
10% unemployed
27% total negative impact based on Federal numbers

Almost one in three Americans not making bank, many in far worse shape, and all is normal in our world, our little corner of the universe.

But what about those who are off the books, including self employed an those who are without income and do not qualify? These include self-employed without income, those who are past their date and no longer on books, illegal immigrants, those who were forced go go back to school, those who are ill, and those unable to look for work.

So what are the real employment numbers? And how can we say we are out of a recession or "headed toward" recovery without jobs?

The same way we can say that it is fine for speculators to raise our prices in everything from gasoline to basic foods (commodities) at a time when we can least afford it.

The same way we say that everyone is fine.

Jobs are moving over seas, but if it is not your job, why care? Why even notice?

Kick the bums out? And then what? Are they at fault or are we? And who will be bring in in their place? Fewer jobs, less government spending to keep roads working, terrorism in check, schools functional, police on the job and society at least functioning in a way where we can look the other way and pretend we are on mainstreet, USA and Disneyland is just opening for the first time.
I guess the age of "Network" is long gone in our polarized, burnt out, complacent nation.

Keith Olbermann's "Worst Person" - Las Vegas Review-Journal Publisher Sherman Frederick

January 7th's Worst Person in the World on MSNBC's Keith Olbermann show was Las Vegas Review Journal publisher Sherman Federick. Whether you agree or not, the YouTube is worth a view.

Thank you to Michael Toole for this "scoop".
