Halloween Politics

Scare tactics. Fear. Anger. Myths and Monsters...

Am I noticing a difference between the political parties this election season? Empathy? Those who put themselves in other people's shoes and show concern or care for their fellow man/woman seem diametrically opposed to those who are out for themselves or number one.

Now add huge amounts of corporate special interest funds to convince people that there are things to fear, create Halloween Ghosts out of every possible issue, and you have an election based on hate, fear and lies rather than fact, faith and the public good.

The political race for election is more about attacking the opponent than it is about addressing the issues. The country is being sold out by the ones we pseudo elect to run it and pay to protect it. Yet we continue as citizens to live in denial. If we were truly patriots the country would be in revolution.

The commercials we see on TV are such a waste of time and money. All they do is attempt to twist the minds of the people who do not critically research/ verify the information they provide. I was in California last weekend and the commercials are exactly the same. It proves that Nevada are not the only victims of this cruel political way.

People are so convinced by what they hear from the lamest commercials i have ever seen and base their vote on it. Citizens who don't feel passionate towards a candidate and their country shouldn't be allowed to vote.

I agree, the ads are a waste of time and the race is just who can beat the other up better. It is sad. The country is sad, our polititians are sad.

I agree with Camille, a lot of what happens in the media is a big affect on elections nowadays. If only we could single out the ones who aren't passionate about the candidates but that'll never happen. Instead we chose the guy who is a smooth talker and promises some sort of change.

I completely agree with Matt - this mudslinging is such a waste of time. It would be nice to see ONE politician just ignore all that drama and focus on the people and the issues!

This is so true. It's disappointing how politics focus on the negative aspects of society and the other party rather than discussing how to improve society.

Seems like they are going to the basics, let the best man stay standing. When all else seems to not get you where you wanna go, why not turn to what was practiced a long time ago. Chad Charles Com 101 6002
