Boulder Creek is a new public 27-hole facility
designed by Mark Rathert, a fair and enjoyable

Local mountain-biker and racer Brent Thomson
has created this maze of technical and scenic
trails just west of Boulder City in the
Southern Nevada desert. One of the most
extreme portions is in the aptly named
"Elevator Shaft" where bikers can fly down
a hillside that offers a 22 percent grade.

This long loop winds through the
quaint 1930s town of Boulder City
and quickly escapes to the more
primitive desert surrounding the River Mountains.
To the east are views of Lake Mead
with several places to pause,
catch your breath and admire the scenery.
The trail then winds through Henderson before
returning to Boulder City.

Excursion train rides depart from the Nevada
Southern Railway station (off Yucca Street)
and travels 3.5 miles west along the historic
Boulder Branch Line to Railroad Pass located
within the River Mountains range.
The round trip (7 miles) lasts
approximately forty-five minutes in

ride in newly refurbished (air conditioned)
Pullman Coaches dating back to 1911.

I have done almost all of the fun things that Boulder City has to offer. My favorite was going sky diving. The people were very nice and funny. I was nervous but am sooo glad that I did it I highly recommend it. Boulder city has a lot to offer, its a fun cute town.

I have yet to enjoy Boulder City, been there three times and only stopped in there once, Thanks again for the TV Mr. Lynch! Really looks beautiful there and more my style vs Las Vegas. I think I might have to star enjoying the finer things in Nevada.

I did not know that Boulder city had train rides! I have always wanted to go on a train but never knew where there were any stations to get a ride. I will definitely have to do this on a cool fall weekend and see the beautiful scenery.

Having lived in Boulder City my entire life, I can say that all these things on this list are awesome. Definitely unforgettable memories in a city that has so much history.
