Listening to others

MIKE PNIEWSKI “Effective listening inspires great teamwork. Great teamwork breeds great success. Don’t be so single-minded with your ideas that you don’t hear the message of others. Real change only comes when you allow it to happen. Really listen to what others say and allow yourself to be changed for the better.”
Mike Pniewski, from “When Life Gives You Lemons, Throw ‘Em Back!”

I think when we really listen to others, we do allow room for change of our own selves. Sometimes, we get so jaded with our own thoughts, ideas, and beleifs that we dont care about what others have to say, thus not listen to others. But when we stop, listen to other people, we allow our brain to take in new information and help enlighten us to a new way of thinking and possibly learn something new.

I find the concept of other people's thoughts vs our own thought's very interesting. Do we really even have our own. Our opinions are formed from listening to others and whoever we feel has the greater argument we usually side with. How many people do you talk to that don't have any idea about what their talking about but they just feel that way because their parents do... Our own thoughts are just a mixture of other peoples.. they usually didn't originate in our own minds.
